Build Your Affiliate Blog From Start To Finish

It is not as difficult to build a website as it was previously. In reality, it can be done in only a few clicks in a minute. This will certainly not generate the next Facebook or a property creating money, but the fundamental structure will be created and the following steps may be taken to expand your business…
It is easy to construct the physical section of the site. The difficult aspect is to create something that people want to read online.
If they get the information they want, people may forgive a poor-looking website. The second priority is design. Design. Our #1 objective is to construct the site and begin to post content.
People are frequently asking me how to make money quickly, and this is my greatest tip. Don’t get stuck to make your head into the beautifully crafted work of art. Get some basic information and start posting ASAP articles.
If you already have a domain and host, let’s do this in the next few minutes.
Use WordPress To Build Your Affiliate Website
- Step 1) CPanel login
- Step 2) Add in your account with a domain
- Step 3) Select WordPress for your website builder
- Step 4) WordPress installation
- Themes of WordPress
- Plugins for WordPress
- Navigation and functions of WordPress
- What Do Widgets Do?
- “Blocks” about WordPress
It will be a little like driving a car to build your affiliate’s website. Most of us don’t know how a vehicle functions. Most people are unable to fix their cars. Every day we still use them and they are part of our life.
If, as I propose in the last course, If you join Wealthy Affiliate, you can skip this step. All in-house is done. You can follow the steps within their platform, or see a full breakdown of how to build your blog inside Wealthy Affiliate.
If you didn’t, and you have a separate host + registrar, here are the approximate steps you need to do.
Change The DNS At The Domain Registrar
The first step is to update our registrar’s DNS (Domain Name Servers). The nameservers that your host assigns should be indicated. Think of it as being linked to the hosting domain.
Ask your host what are known to your two nameservers. Usually, they will appear this way:
ns1.mynameserver.com
ns2.mynameserver.com
As soon as you find out what is called your name servers, get into your domain registrar. I mentioned Namecheap earlier, so below is a video on how to modify Namecheap’s DNS.
Select “Custom DNS” and Go to the Domain Manager. Ask your host if you don’t know what your nameservers (AKA nameservers) are.

Once that has been done, click on whatsmydns.net. From the dropdown menu select “NS,” enter the name of your domain, and click Search. Your domain is not showing your host yet if you see red X’s. It may be necessary to wait up to 48 hours, but green checks will take you only one or two hours most of the time.
WordPress installation
You are ready to install WordPress once your DNS is all green checking. WordPress is the world’s most famous Content Management System (CMS). WordPress is used by hundreds of millions of websites. It’s easy to build up the main site and by adding ‘plugins’ you can construct some truly amazing customizations.
WordPress is open source, there are a great many methods to tailor your website. Later on, we are going to get into customizing. We only need a fundamental setup of WordPress for now.
WordPress installation is a simple process, however for each host it’s different. Below is a video that shows how WordPress may be installed on an account on Hostgator. Most hosts have the same setup for cPanels, therefore start the movie at 6.34 to show how cPanel works and how your website is set up.
Step 1) CPanel login
That’s your login to cPanel. Your host should have sent e-mail to you your log-in information, including the page where you need to log into cPanel.

Step 2) Add in your account with a domain
You may need to add a domain to your account inside cPanel. This isn’t to mean that you must buy it! You have purchased it at your registrar already. This essentially tells your host that you have a domain and try to connect to your hosting.

From inside cPanel, select “Addon Domains,” then input in a name without a WWW part. Leave blank all other fields.

Step 3) Select WordPress for your website builder
A “Quick Install” or “Content Management System” option can be found. In this situation, under the Site Software Icon, I located the WordPress blog installation.

Step 4) WordPress installation
Fill in the information you need such as your username and password. Do not choose the “admin” as the username (it’s fairly popular, and maybe hacked). Ensure you have a safe password. WordPress sites are popular for hacking. Make sure that the combination of upper case, small box, numbers, and symbols is over 10 characters long.
Leave the installation URL blank and don’t modify the database anything. These are technical things that you don’t need to adapt.

In earlier incarnations of this class, I have learned a lot about your website’s insights and how all kinds of difficulties may be resolved. The fact is that your host will have a support system for you and you may ask them to help much simpler.
Installs from WordPress are fairly frequent and help newcomers every day. By selecting hosts like KnownHost or Kinsta they are sure to assist you with the right configuration and then, till you establish your future website, you will have not to bother with this technical thing.
I feel bad about the way the installation procedure operates, even a few years afterward. Again, I do not know how to fix my vehicle, but it’s just okay for me throughout the town.
WordPress Installation
Once you have completed the website construction, you will have a large website with nothing but some default content and browsing. Let’s see some simple modification choices.
Themes of WordPress
A “theme” to your website is like your skin. It’s the design element that has certain features. Some themes may not have the same features, but others may not. For instance, certain topics have a personalized homepage but others do not and only show a list of your recent articles.
Don’t assume websites that are better looking. Simple websites may be excellent since they are easy to read and navigate. People are yearning for genuine web information. The important aspect here is information.
A superb design might enhance confidence with readers, though, therefore it absolutely is worth your effort to pick a theme of high quality (even if it is basic).

Go to Appearance > Themes > Add New Theme
All WordPress users get more than 10,000 themes at zero cost. There are also several prize topics that cost money. Prices vary between $5 to roughly $100 and often constitute a one-time price.
In comparison with the free one, there are several benefits to buying a theme.
- improved overall look
- More customizability and feature
- Faster load times better quality code
- Consistent security upgrades and WordPress compatibility
- Support for email
- Public questions history and forums for navigation
- More plug-in compatibility (see below)

Clockwise: Themeforest, StudioPress, YooThemes, ElegantThemes
StudioPress is my favorite theme creator. You make the subject you’re now looking at. In fact, the frame and the child theme divide up their subjects into two sections. The structure is basically like the core structure and the child’s theme is the beautiful things.
If you’re going to obtain a lovely theme right off the beginning, choose something basic from the StudioPress website and you’re going to utilize this theme for life. The frame and children’s theme combination costs around $100. Any successive purchase of the child’s subject will be a little cheaper because the framework does not have to be purchased every time.
Themes StudioPress are pricey, but quick and slick. Is it not possible to afford it? No problem. Use a freebie for now, and afterwards you can move to another stuff. Installing a new theme just takes a few minutes.
Plugins for WordPress
“Plugins” are like add-ons that add functionality that you may install on your website. These functions can be displayed to visitors, such as popups normally via a plugin. A plugin may also be used to produce product comparison charts. You may use a plugin to install items such as live chat, forums, and social networking.
The visitors may not see other functions, but they are still needed. For example, a sitemap generator, a caching system, a search engine optimization plugin (to speed up your site load).
Tens of thousands of possibilities exist, as with themes. There are many of them free, but the finest are paid ones. In other words, you do not have a single purchased plugin to count on in affiliate marketing, to generate money. Without ever buying a single plugin or topic, you may generate full-term internet revenue.
Use plugins to watch out for! You make some incredible changes to your website, however, too many plugins might slow down your website. Actually, a single miscoded plugin might slow down your site or create a hacking security hole.
ALWAYS CHECK TO SEE THAT YOUR PLUGINS ARE UPDATED FREQUENTLY (within the last few weeks or months).
This signifies that the developer has to update the plugin actively. The information page for each plugin is shown when it was last updated before installing it.
Go to Plugins > Add New to install a free one from the directory, or If you have purchased a plugin upload a premium plugin you purchased

You simply need a few basic plugins:
- Technical SEO Plugin
- Image Optimization Plugin
- Caching Plugin
- Spam Blocker
These may be obtained from a lot of developers for free, but the exact ones I use are:
- All in One SEO Pack
- Ewww Image Optimizer
- W3 Total Cache
- Anti-spam
There is indeed countless stuff for your site that may be done via plugins. As you build your business, you will learn about many of them.
Don’t become confused by adding to your site a bunch of whistles and bells. The simplest method to find helpful plugins is to look at what you want your website to accomplish, then search Google to see whether a plug-in can do it.
For example, having a customized sidebar for certain web pages may assist to convert advertising into this page by boosting their relevance. So if I needed this feature, I could only search “different sidebar every page plugin”.What do you know, that’s exactly what I found a plugin called Content Aware Sidebars.

Navigation & functions of WordPress
You want to learn in the first place in three main sections of your site:
- Menus
- Widgets
- Posts
Secondary priority sections would be:
- Settings
- Themes
- Pages
- Plugins
- Comments

Publishing content will be the basis of your business as it drives your website traffic. The way you create affiliate sales is traffic (people).
Go to the “Posts” page and then “Add New” to publish material.
You may alter the main structure of your website using the appearance section. You can also notice a number of new options in each topic. These options may include a unique design, additional widgets and menu places, footers, and logo options for your homepage.
I often say that people begin with a simple theme. All the fantastic things you see on demo sites appear wonderful, but they have several problems:
- It might be a hefty resource and slow your site down
- These adjustments contain a learning curve that delays growth in other areas of your company
- They often fail to create a better user experience or generate income
Your “blog roll” homepage is the default. All your freshly posted articles are listed in the blog roll. You will immediately see a snippet for each item, and a visitor may then click the contents to read the entire article.
You haven’t already written anything, therefore your blog rolls and your homepage is blank or you may erase the default content.
What Do Widgets Do?
Widgets are another feature that changes from theme to theme. They are a means to show visitors various sorts of information. Texts, pictures, links can be added. Here are some samples of some very simple widgets for most subjects.
- search bar
- recent posts
- pages
- text
- custom HTML

Home – Top, Home – Middle Left, Home – Middle Right is unique to my theme
By installing Plugins you may also add widget functionality. Yeah, WordPress actually does have many methods to personalize it, but you don’t need any of these to generate money online if you start feeling overwhelmed. A photo of yourself and a brief biography on the sidebar is enough for you to make yourself and your stuff a human aspect.
Learn as you go other things. Learn only what you need and what you need.
How To Publish An Article
There are two principal approaches to post fresh content on your website by 2021. The previous WordPress version is the Classic Editor, while the current WordPress version is the “Gutenberg” or “Block Editor”.
Each one has its own pros and cons. Gutenberg represents the future, yet the Classic editor is showing a great deal of historical documentation (YouTube movies, blog postings, etc).
I mention this because you can run into certain WordPress versions that are a bit different when you learn how to conduct basic things like publishing articles.
The basic functions are all same, however, there may be certain things that are different.
It is the editor of GUTENBERG

This is the CLASSIC editor

I advise you utilize Gutenberg as the future will come quickly, and the Classic editor will be phased out eventually.
A blog post’s fundamental anatomy is simple.
- Title
- Image
- Headline
- Content
- Image
- Content
The key sections of the editor of Gutenberg to learn

- The main post title (h1) should contain your keyword
- You can just start writing your article here (minimum 1000 words per article)
- Alternatively, you can add individual “blocks” with specific functions
- Choose a category for your blog post (Create just 3-5 categories to start)
- Tags are like sub-categories (more on tags later)
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) settings for the individual blog post
- Publish your article with the Publish/Update button
About WordPress “Blocks”
Blocks are like your article parts. There is a separate function for each block. Blocks that are commonly used include text, picture, HTML, bulleted list, and header.
If you add the image block, you are asked to upload or select an image from your media library (previously uploaded images). The photo data such as title, description, and caption may then be customized. For SEO later that will be important.
You can add blocks when you click the “+” button at the top right corner of the editor or when you build content directly.

Headings are also an important but easy element to optimize the search engine. Cascading from h2 to h5 between large and particular is the best approach to apply them. Examples:
- How To Lose Weight Before A Wedding (h1 = Title)
- Introduction Content (P = paragraph, AKA normal text)
- 3 Ways To Lose Weight Fast (h2)
- Method #1 (h3)
- content content
- Method #2 (h3)
- content content
- Details About Method #2 (h4)
- content content
- Method #3 (h3)

You are ready to publish once you have at least a thousand words of content and a few pictures! Hit the publish button. If you are not ready to publish yet, you may continue editing until you are ready by clicking on “Save Draft.”
The future date for publication may also be scheduled by choosing “Soon” and then adjusting the publishing date of the published calendar. “Stick to the front page” will stick up your blog posting to keep it at the top, even if you write new content.

You are not going to master WordPress overnight. As usual, my suggestion is to learn things as you go and to learn things you need. Hundreds of thousands of lessons are available online on how to accomplish special things on your website.
One of the last crucial tips is not to wait for your website to “launch.” You should post your content as consistently as possible in order to enable search engines to notice your site and begin to understand what your material means. To wait for the start is to wait longer for results to be seen.
Following we need to know how to post things that earn money, rightly, therefore the next step is to get website traffic.
